Education for Creatives

Oh Elizabeth….After following you for over a year, I feel more knowledgeable in many areas of photography and business than I even dreamed I’d be. Every time I read a blog post or watch your videos, I get so hooked I look at the clock and I’ve done it again! Its 2am you still have me wanting MORE!” -Brandi

otherwayIn 2007 I began blogging for photographers over on elizabethhalford.com. It turned into a crazy career of teaching, writing classes, blogging, speaking engagements and meeting photographers & creatives from allover the world to teach them everything I know.

I once had a couple come from the Czech Republic and one photographer who came to see me from Brazil (twice!) just to spend one day inside my brain. I started to get recognised out in public, have notes left on my car when I was in the grocery store.

It was pretty fly, but my business was getting neglected and I didn’t actually have time to do what I loved most – create. So I shut down the blog, sold my classes to other educators and just pushed ahead in my business.

10525731_10154442547860650_441256964223518979_nI get a LOT of emails asking for advice, photographers who want to come shoot with me, etc etc. So here’s what I can offer you:

  • I wrote over 800 posts on my blog about everything photography and business. So I dare you…Google my name (Elizabeth Halford) plus whatever you want to know (what lens to buy, how to deal with difficult clients, everything you need to know about full frame cameras, what the little numbers on your lens mean). I can almost guarantee I’ve written about it ALL.
  • You can find my most popular class about how to sell to clients here. It’s now taught by Erin Freeman, a client of mine who is also a photographer and was trained by me to teach this class.
  • This is my old YouTube channel. Not so great quality, but some good info there for photographers wanting business instruction and editing tutorials.
  • You can find some of my content here on the Photographers Element website.

And if all of that doesn’t tickle your fancy (or you just wanna work with me in person) I’m up for doing in person or Skype mentoring for select creatives who know what they want but not how to get there. Think of me like a therapist for your business. If you’re interested, email me at hello@graciemayphotography.com and we’ll work together to discover if I’m the right coach for you.
