“You are so talented, creative and open minded. You capture people in such an elegant and sentient way, allowing the individual self to be celebrated.” -Lisa R.
I’m Elizabeth Halford. Gracie May is my little girl. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2008 when I shot my first wedding on a borrowed camera. I’m not the photographer for everyone. I will never tell your child to say cheese. I don’t need many lavish words to convince you that I’m smitten with photography – I hope you can see that in my work.
I haven’t won any awards. I’ve never taken a photography class. My awards are the tears of my clients when they see their images for the first time. My degree is in blood, sweat and tears (oh so many tears). Because of these, I’m more accomplished than I ever imagine I would be and my heart is always full. I’m so lucky to get to travel the world fulfilling this calling.
So. Enough of that mushy stuff // a few facts about me:
I’ve never been to school a day in my life.
I’ve been in business for myself since I was about 10. It all started with lemonade.
In my day job, I’m a producer in advertising.
I’m legally American and British (God save the queen)
I despise stereotypes.
Above all, I believe in the Golden Rule, kicking ass and being kind.
What can you expect from me?
My craft is storytelling – photography is my medium. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding day because it will pass by in 12 hours like any other day. Only your photographer can make it last forever. My method is mostly reportage. My look is romantic, atmospheric, emotive. I’m a sucker for beautiful light and always endeavour to represent ambiance as it truly was in the scene.
I can’t wait to meet you!
